Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Board of Directors Election
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Tuesday, November 4, 2008
SPG will be running an election for two open positions on our Board of Directors. Voter packages will be mailed in early November to all registered pulse producers in Saskatchewan (i.e. you have sold or grown pulse crops - peas, beans, lentils and chickpeas) in the last two years between September 1, 2006 and August 31, 2008.
If you are a registered producer and do not receive a voter package in the mail, please contact the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers at 306-668-0032 before November 30, 2008. A cash ticket must be produced to confirm your eligibility to vote.
Completed ballots must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 4:30PM on DECEMBER 3, 2008 in the self-addressed return envelope.
SPG is run by a producer-elected Board of Directors comprised of seven pulse growers who are accountable to 18,000 pulse crop producers in Saskatchewan. SPG is funded through a mandatory check-off with a legislated mandate to build a prosperous pulse industry in Saskatchewan through investments in research and market development and promoting sustainable innovation, growth and success through leadership, collaboration and support.
